So here we are. On a mission no one asked for us to do, and everyone asks us why, but we've gone ahead a done it anyway.
The year is 2002. WWE has won wrestling and all the competition is dead, as is interest for a lot of wrestling fans. One man steps up and brings forward a new idea, and wrestling company featuring all the people WWE didn't have at the time and showcasing them through weekly PPVs.
Of course I'm talking about (NWA)TNA. That's right. The company you know as the thing that is currently being sued by everyone, 14 years ago that was born and it TRIED to sell the wrestling audience PPVs on a weekly basis for $14.99. Did it work? Well ... that's debatable.
Dan and Lenny are here with all-new The Asylum Podcast, looking back at this great time in wrestling and asking the big questions like: "Why?" "What the fuck?" and "Are you fucking kidding?"
